As reported by Bloomberg, Siemens, a leading player in electronic design automation (EDA), announced that it has received notification from the United States government lifting the export restrictions on chip design software to China. Consequently, Siemens has restored full access to its software and technology for Chinese customers. Prior to this, the US Department of Commerce had mandated EDA suppliers, including Siemens, Synopsys, and Cadence, to halt shipments to China.
