Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) and a state-owned holding enterprise in Indonesia jointly held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new battery factory project in Indonesia, with a total investment of approximately $6 billion. The project, to be built in regions like Karawang Regency in West Java, will encompass the entire battery production chain. It is anticipated to produce enough batteries annually to power 300,000 electric vehicles. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and other dignitaries attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
