On June 23, China and Japan convened a vice-ministerial-level consultation to engage in thorough discussions on economic and trade matters, as well as multilateral and regional cooperation. During the meeting, China voiced its concerns regarding Japan's export restrictions on semiconductors, the business climate for Chinese-invested enterprises in Japan, and China's aspirations to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). Both sides affirmed their commitment to further strengthening communication and cooperation in these areas.
