Iran has initiated a nationwide disruption of internet and telephone communications. According to the Tasnim News Agency, Iran's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology explained that this measure is both necessary and temporary, aimed at thwarting cyberattacks originating from Israel. The decision was prompted by "the malicious exploitation of our country's communication networks by hostile entities." Prior to this, Iranian media outlets had reported that Israel had embarked on a widespread cyberwar against Iran's digital infrastructure, prompting Iran to deploy multiple defenses to counteract these Israeli cyber operations.
