On June 10, 2025, the inaugural meeting and implementation plan presentation for the national key R&D program, a pivotal special project under the "Strategic Scientific and Technological Innovation Cooperation" initiative, titled "Research on Gallium Oxide Monolithic Power Electronic Integrated Devices," was successfully convened at the East Campus of Sun Yat-sen University. Under the leadership of Associate Professor Lu Xing from the School of Electronics and Information Engineering (School of Microelectronics) at Sun Yat-sen University, the primary aim of this program is to surmount the critical technical hurdles in the realm of gallium oxide semiconductor technology. The execution of this program is anticipated to accelerate the advancement and industrial application of wide-bandgap semiconductor technology in China.
