On June 19th, Advocate General Juliane Kokott of the European Court of Justice voiced her support for the European Union's antitrust ruling against Google, recommending that the Court dismiss Google's appeal and uphold the decision to impose a €4.125 billion fine. This case dates back to 2018 when the EU accused Google of leveraging its Android system to stifle competition. Despite numerous appeals by Google, the General Court of the EU has already ruled that the tech giant abused its dominant market position.
