On June 11, 2025, Intel and Volcano Engine unveiled groundbreaking advancements in chip-cloud collaboration tailored for the AI era at Volcano Engine's 2025 Spring Motive Power Conference. Together, they introduced the fourth-generation general-purpose computing instance family, driven by Intel Xeon processors. This family comprises the versatile g4i basic instance, the g4ie instance with enhanced computing power, and the g4il instance optimized for I/O performance, each accompanied by diverse use case demonstrations.
