TSMC's Arizona facility has initiated production, successfully fabricating the inaugural batch of chips destined for leading tech giants such as Apple, NVIDIA, and AMD. Initially scheduled to employ N4 process technology, the plant officially commenced operations at the close of last year. According to reports, the first units of NVIDIA's latest Blackwell AI GPU, which is built on a customized N4 version known as 4NP, have been dispatched to Taiwan for packaging. Prior to this milestone, the facility had already manufactured 20,000 wafers for its esteemed clientele.
