The United States has issued a directive to the three leading EDA giants—Synopsys, Cadence, and Siemens—to halt all supplies to China. This strategic move aims to hinder China's burgeoning chip industry by imposing restrictions not merely on the manufacturing front but also by seeking to stifle advancements in the design phase. In response, Synopsys has confirmed that it is currently unable to engage in sales and distribution activities within mainland China, nor can it accept any new orders. Furthermore, Chinese customers will find themselves unable to access Synopsys' SolvNet Plus and associated services.
