Despite the official unveiling of the PCIe 7.0 specification, the rollout of PCIe 6.0 SSDs has encountered setbacks and is not anticipated to materialize until at least 2030. In an interview, Wallace C. Kuo, CEO of leading SSD controller developer Silicon Motion, disclosed that PCIe 6.0 SSDs for PCs will likely not enter the market until 2030. Furthermore, he highlighted that both Intel and AMD currently have no immediate plans to introduce new PCIe 6.0 products.
