On June 12, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and ZTE Corporation officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shanghai. Chen Jining, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, and Gong Zheng, Mayor of Shanghai, held a meeting with Fang Rong, Chairman of ZTE, and Xu Ziyang, President of ZTE. Both Gong Zheng and Fang Rong were present to witness the signing ceremony. Pursuant to the agreement, the two parties aim to fortify their collaboration in cutting-edge information technologies encompassing AI terminals, chips, new communications, and smart computing, with a particular emphasis on pivotal sectors like integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, and electronic information.
