On June 12, Samsung Electronics officially announced the commencement of production for the 2-nanometer Exynos 2600 prototype chip. This groundbreaking chip is anticipated to power the upcoming Galaxy S26 series of smartphones, scheduled for release in February 2026. According to reports, initial tests conducted earlier this year revealed a yield rate of 30% for the Exynos 2600 chip. Since then, Samsung has been diligently working to enhance this rate, which has now surpassed the 50% mark. Should progress continue unabated, the chip is poised to enter full-scale mass production early in the following year.
