At the Volcano Engine 2025 Spring Prime Conference, Intel and Volcano Engine showcased their robust partnership by unveiling the fourth-generation Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance family, powered by Intel® Xeon® 6 Performance Core Processors. This new line-up comprises the versatile g4i basic computing instance and the g4ie computing power-enhanced instance, alongside the previously introduced I/O-optimized g4il instance, which demonstrated its versatility through diverse application scenarios. Notably, the g4il instance boasts a 50% lower resource threshold compared to GPU instances, accompanied by comprehensive upgrades in performance, storage, and networking, thus offering enterprise users more efficient and dependable intelligent services.
