The joint venture between NVIDIA and MediaTek has unveiled their Arm-based laptop SoC, dubbed "NVIDIA N1X," on the esteemed Geekbench benchmarking platform. However, preliminary test results from Geekbench 6.4.0 indicate a single-core score of 1169 points and a multi-core score of 2417 points, deviating significantly from the previously reported scores of 3096 points for single-thread and 18837 points for multi-thread on the Geekbench 6.2.2 version. In contrast, Apple's M4 chip currently outperforms N1X in both single-core and multi-core benchmarks.
As NVIDIA's comeback vehicle in the consumer electronics realm, N1X aims to capitalize on the energy efficiency strengths of the Arm architecture to secure a substantial market share within the Windows on Arm ecosystem. Its ultimate performance metrics and market reception are eagerly anticipated by industry insiders and consumers alike.
