On June 6, Japanese NAND flash memory manufacturer Kioxia unveiled ambitious plans to double its NAND flash memory production capacity within the next five years, driven by the burgeoning demand for storage solutions in AI data centers. This expansion will be facilitated by significant enhancements to its production lines at the Yokkaichi Plant and Kitakami Plant, with a target to double production capacity by fiscal year 2029, as compared to fiscal year 2024.
