TCL Technology has outlined plans to acquire a 21.5311% stake in Shenzhen CSOT Semiconductor Display Technology Co., Ltd., currently held by Shenzhen Major Industrial Development Phase I Fund Co., Ltd. The acquisition will be financed through a combination of share issuance and cash payment, amounting to a total transaction value of RMB 11.562 billion. This transaction has received the green light from the Mergers and Acquisitions Restructuring Review Committee of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. However, final approval from the China Securities Regulatory Commission is still pending, with the outcome and timing yet to be determined.
