In the first quarter of 2025, SK Hynix ascended to the pinnacle of the global DRAM market, seizing a 36% market share—surpassing Samsung Electronics' 34% for the first time. This milestone is largely credited to the meteoric rise of the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) market. Amidst a 5.5% decline in global DRAM sales, driven by price erosion and shipment curtailments, SK Hynix managed to uphold stable selling prices, bolstered by a heightened proportion of HBM3e shipments. Market analysts predict that SK Hynix will continue to elevate the share of HBM3E in its product portfolio, thereby fortifying its market-leading position even further.
