Tencent's open source platform has recently unveiled ovCompose and KuiklyBase, two groundbreaking cross-platform frameworks developed by the Tencent Video team. These frameworks were conceived to tackle the limitations of JetBrains Compose Multiplatform, particularly its lack of support for HarmonyOS and restricted iOS layout capabilities. By addressing these issues, ovCompose and KuiklyBase aim to boost the productivity of Kotlin Multiplatform developers working on the HarmonyOS platform. ovCompose has already been integrated into the HarmonyOS version of Tencent Video, marking it as the first app to achieve comprehensive cross-platform coverage. Furthermore, KuiklyBase's core functionalities have been implemented across multiple Tencent applications. By embracing a unified codebase approach that spans Android, iOS, and HarmonyOS, these frameworks have significantly enhanced business development efficiency.
