During the 2025 Dragon Boat Festival holiday, UnionPay and Network Online jointly processed an impressive total of 14.05 billion payment transactions, amounting to RMB 4.8 trillion. This represents a year-on-year increase of 13% in transaction volume and 3.4% in transaction amount, respectively. Notably, the number and value of payments made by foreign visitors to China surged significantly, with a 118.6% increase in transaction volume and a 58.8% rise in transaction amount.
