In May, the daily average closing price of national carbon emission allowances stood at 70.30 yuan per ton, marking a decline of roughly 13% from the previous month. This reflects an overall downward trend, punctuated by fluctuations. By the end of the month, prices hit a low of 67.91 yuan per ton. Compared to the peak price recorded in November of last year, the decline has now surpassed 35%, with a cumulative drop of approximately 30% since the start of this year.
