Recently, internet users from Weifang and Rizhao in Shandong Province, as well as Jiangsu and Anhui, have shared videos claiming to have observed an unidentified flying object in the night sky. The object, depicted as bright with a trailing tail, bore a striking resemblance to a fireball meteor. Some netizens humorously compared it to the animated characters Optimus Prime and Megatron making a surprise appearance. According to an astronomer, this phenomenon was actually the re-entry of the Soviet Union's reconnaissance satellite, Cosmos 1674, launched in 1985. As the satellite plunges back into Earth's atmosphere, its surface material violently frictions with the air, causing high temperatures and creating a vivid light band and plasma trail.
