China Three Gorges Renewables has triumphantly connected the entirety of its wind power project situated at Dafengkou in Wushan, Chongqing, to the national grid. Comprising 10 wind turbines—8 units with a capacity of 6.25 MW and 2 units of 5 MW—the project is projected to generate approximately 110 million kWh of electricity annually. This substantial output is sufficient to cater to the electricity demands of roughly 60,000 households, facilitate annual savings of 45,000 tons of standard coal, and result in a reduction of 86,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Despite the formidable challenges posed by the terrain and climate, the project seamlessly integrates the concept of "photovoltaics + ecological restoration," marking a significant milestone in wind power generation within Chongqing and contributing to the region's green development aspirations.
