At COMPUTEX Taipei 2025, MediaTek's CEO, Rick Tsai, unveiled that the company's groundbreaking first 2nm chip is anticipated to reach the tape-out stage in September 2025, with TSMC potentially undertaking its production. Tsai further disclosed MediaTek's intentions to embrace TSMC's advanced A16 and A14 node technologies in future endeavors. Reflecting on MediaTek's 28-year trajectory, he highlighted that the company has shipped an impressive 20 billion chips for terminal devices over the past decade.
