In the first quarter of 2025, GlobalFoundries, the third-largest semiconductor foundry globally, achieved counterintuitive growth with revenues amounting to $1.59 billion. This figure signifies a 2% year-over-year increase and a 3% sequential rise, surpassing market forecasts. The company's net profit soared by 57% year-over-year to reach $211 million, while its net profit margin improved to 13.3%. GlobalFoundries emphasized that its diversified supply chain and extensive network of suppliers effectively cushioned the impact of tariffs, with an anticipated tariff burden of approximately $20 million for the entire year of 2025.
