Arm Unveils Streamlined IP Naming System

Arm has introduced an updated naming convention for its pre-validated IP design portfolio for Compute Subsystems (CSS), with the goal of simplifying future IP identification. The datacenter and server product line has been rebranded as Arm Neoverse, while other markets now fall under the following designations: Arm Niva for personal computers, Arm Lumex for mobile devices, Arm Zena for automotive applications, and Arm Orbis for the Internet of Things (IoT). The established GPU brand Mali will remain in use and will be seamlessly integrated into each CSS. The new naming strategy introduces clear performance tiers labeled as Ultra, Premium, Pro, Nano, and Pico, providing a more intuitive understanding of each offering's capabilities.
