NVIDIA intends to set up an R&D center in Shanghai, with the objective of sustaining its competitive edge in the Chinese market. Despite the hurdles posed by U.S. export controls, which have impeded sales in China, NVIDIA remains committed to expanding its business presence. The R&D center will be dedicated to addressing the unique requirements of Chinese customers and contributing to global R&D initiatives, encompassing chip design verification, product refinement, and pioneering research in domains like autonomous driving. Currently, NVIDIA is actively seeking new office space in Shanghai and has embarked on a talent acquisition campaign, aiming to attract the best AI minds from across China.
