In response to a significant data breach at SK Telecom, South Korea's SK Group announced on Wednesday the establishment of a dedicated Data Protection Committee. This move aims to bolster the cybersecurity posture across its subsidiaries. Reporting to the Information Security Innovation Committee under the SUPEX Council, the Group's apex advisory body, the new committee will proactively identify and mitigate security risks, thereby reinforcing the internal security capabilities of SK Group's subsidiaries.
