On May 13, Yahua Group announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Yahua International, had executed a termination agreement with Lithium Development, a subsidiary of Australia's Core. This move officially brings to an end the lithium concentrate supply agreement and its supplementary agreement, which were initially signed by both parties in March 2019 and February 2022, respectively. The termination was necessitated by Core's decision to suspend mineral processing operations at its Finniss lithium mine project from June 2024, followed by the cessation of all operations in July, rendering it infeasible to continue supplying lithium concentrate.
