Since May, the A-share mergers and acquisitions (M&A) market has witnessed a surge in activity, as companies that have announced their plans have been methodically progressing through their respective M&A processes. Concurrently, new cases have been cropping up at a frequent pace, predominantly adopting the "swift and efficient" approach of cash acquisitions. The emphasis of these M&A deals lies in industrial synergies, encompassing emerging and future industries, with parallel efforts directed towards horizontal market expansion and vertical enhancement of the industrial chain. According to statistics, on May 13 alone, over a dozen listed companies issued announcements pertaining to M&A, with nearly half of them disclosing their merger plans for the very first time.
