On May 13, the Shenzhen Financial Regulatory Bureau unveiled the "Action Plan for High-Quality Development of Technology Finance in Shenzhen's Banking and Insurance Industry." The plan underscores the advancement of a pilot equity investment program targeting financial asset investment companies. It emphasizes the need for major state-owned banks to deepen partnerships with these companies and municipal/district state-owned capital operation platforms, with the objective of fostering the establishment of equity investment funds by five financial asset investment firms in Shenzhen. Furthermore, the plan encourages large state-owned banks to enhance internal collaboration with financial asset investment firms, offering comprehensive financial services to technology-driven enterprises through the integration of "equity + debt" models. Additionally, insurance institutions are encouraged to invest in private equity funds, bonds, or take equity stakes in financial asset investment companies in compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. The plan also supports eligible commercial banks in establishing financial asset investment companies to further amplify support for technological innovation.
