At the opening ceremony of the Fourth Ministerial Meeting of the China-CELAC Forum, Xi Jinping delivered a keynote address, outlining China's commitment to collaborating with Latin American countries in implementing the Global Development Initiative. He stressed the importance of upholding the multilateral trading system, maintaining the stability of global industrial and supply chains, and fostering an open and cooperative international environment. The two sides aim to enhance the alignment of their development strategies, advance high-quality joint construction under the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen cooperation in traditional sectors, and expand collaboration in emerging areas such as clean energy and 5G communications. Additionally, they will implement the China-Latin America Science and Technology Partnership Program. China will increase imports of high-quality products from Latin America, encourage Chinese enterprises to expand investments in the region, and provide a credit line of 66 billion yuan to support the development of Latin American and Caribbean nations.
