On the evening of May 9, Chengdu hosted the Sichuan event of China Brand Day, titled "Charming Tianfu Brand Night." During the event, Professor Zhou Qiang from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China proudly introduced the world's first gallium nitride quantum light source chip. Measuring a mere 0.14 square millimeters, this chip boasts luminescence range, emission brightness, entanglement quality, and other key indicators that have attained international advanced standards. This milestone signifies a significant leap forward for China in the realm of quantum technology, with aspirations to achieve multi-scenario technology validation by 2026, thereby furnishing pivotal hardware support for the advancement of the quantum internet.
