On May 2, the U.S. stock market opened and closed on a positive note, with all three major indices experiencing significant gains of more than 1%. Specifically, the Nasdaq Composite Index surged 1.51%, the S&P 500 Index advanced 1.47%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 1.39%. Among large-cap technology stocks, the majority posted gains, including Meta Platforms with an increase of over 4%, Intel with a rise of over 3%, and Tesla and Microsoft, both up by more than 2%. Apple, however, saw a decline of over 3%. Popular Chinese concept stocks also shone brightly, with the Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index surging over 3%. Notably, GDS Holdings and Kingsoft Cloud soared over 9%, Tencent Music rose more than 7%, and XPeng Inc. gained over 5%.
