AMD stands on the cusp of unveiling the pinnacle of its Zen5 architecture, the highly anticipated Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series tailored for enthusiasts. Gigabyte has already prepared the TRX50 series motherboards with a new BIOS version, paving the way for the next-generation processors codenamed SHP (Shimada Peak)—the new Threadrippers. Furthermore, the ASUS PRO WS TRX50 SAGE motherboard's updated specifications also allude to both the Threadripper 9000 and Threadripper PRO 9000 series, affirming a maximum core count of 96. The preceding Threadripper 7000 and Threadripper PRO 7000 series were designed for enthusiast desktops and workstations, offering up to 64 cores and 86 cores, respectively. The forthcoming generation of Threadrippers intends to build upon this dual focus, potentially exclusive to the PRO series, further solidifying AMD's position in the high-end market.
