Users of Gigabyte's RTX 50 series graphics cards have encountered an issue where thermal gel leaks from the GPU chip, contaminating the PCB board during normal use. This leakage can potentially hinder the GPU chip's heat dissipation. In response, Gigabyte confirmed that the thermal gel is essential for maintaining optimal component contact and has undergone extensive testing. The company acknowledged that in early production batches, a slightly excessive amount of gel was applied, but has since adjusted both the quantity and application process.
