Despite exceeding revenue expectations in the first quarter, Intel's share price plummeted significantly in after-hours and pre-market trading due to a bleak outlook for the second quarter. On April 24, local time, Intel released its financial report revealing that revenue for the first quarter amounted to $12.67 billion, a marginal 0.4% decrease year-on-year but exceeding the estimated $12.31 billion. However, the company's projected second-quarter revenue, ranging between $11.2 billion and $12.4 billion, fell short of the market's estimate of $12.88 billion. Consequently, Intel's share price saw a sharp decline in after-hours trading on the U.S. stock market and further dipped by more than 5% in pre-market trading on Friday.
