At the 2025 North American Technology Symposium, TSMC revealed its plans to commence mass production of N2 chips in the second half of this year. This milestone signifies TSMC's debut into mass-producing chips utilizing all-around gate (GAA) nanosheet transistors. Currently, TSMC's 3nm family boasts mass-produced N3 and N3E chips, with further plans to roll out N3P, N3X, N3A, and N3C in succession. As a 2nm process, N2 is poised to deliver substantial enhancements in both performance and power efficiency.
