Hong Kong stocks kicked off the trading day with notable gains, as the Hang Seng Index surged 0.78% and the Hang Seng TECH Index advanced 1.25%. The software services and building materials sectors shone particularly brightly, with NetEase and Bilibili soaring over 4% each, and Conch Cement climbing more than 2%. Conversely, the steel sector experienced a setback, as Maanshan Iron & Steel Co. slipped by over 1%.
