Intel has emerged as an early adopter of TSMC's groundbreaking 2nm process technology, aiming to leverage this advanced fabrication method for the manufacture of its next-generation PC processors. TSMC's Hsinchu facility is currently undergoing vigorous preparations to fine-tune production yields in anticipation of this milestone. Following AMD's announcement of a similar order, TSMC anticipates commencing mass production of the 2nm process in the latter half of this year. The fruits of this strategic collaboration between Intel and TSMC are poised to materialize in the form of the compute chip within Intel's upcoming Nova Lake PC processors, scheduled for release next year.
