TSMC has announced the completion of construction on six fabs at its US subsidiary, TSMC Arizona, located in the state of Arizona. Once operational, this site will account for approximately 30% of TSMC's total advanced process capacity for 2nm and smaller nodes, with 2nm being the primary focus. Furthermore, Fab 4 will support the N2 and A16 processes, while the upcoming fabs, Fab 5 and Fab 6, will aim for even more cutting-edge technologies. Concurrently, the R&D center at TSMC Arizona will employ around 1,000 individuals, geared towards enabling the independent operation of local fabs and progressively expanding into broader domains.
