Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has issued a response to reports regarding its provision of artificial intelligence (AI) processors to the Chinese technology giant Huawei. Huawei's Ascend processors have garnered considerable attention, with a report from Semi Analysis suggesting that Huawei sourced these chips from TSMC. Nonetheless, TSMC has clarified that it has not shipped any products to Huawei since September 2020 due to the United States' ban on supplying advanced chips to the Chinese company.
