A research team from Tsinghua University has pioneered a thin-film micro actuator, enabling micro robots to seamlessly morph and lock into specific poses akin to "Transformers," thus bolstering their environmental adaptability. Leveraging this actuator alongside their groundbreaking "building block" design approach, the team has engineered the world's smallest and lightest micro wireless amphibious robot. Measuring a mere 9 centimeters in length and weighing just 25 grams, this remarkable feat was published in the prestigious international journal Nature Machine Intelligence on April 18.
