The United States' tariff policy is wreaking havoc on various industries. Steve Dunn, the founder and CEO of Munchkin, a prominent infant product company, has sounded the alarm that the latest tariffs have prompted the industry to halt orders and lay off workers, while also escalating the expenses associated with raising children for American families. Dunn emphasized that Munchkin, hindered by the absence of necessary tools, manufacturing expertise, automation, and skilled labor, is unable to relocate its maternal and child product production to the United States. Consequently, the majority of its products are imported from China. The cumulative tariff has now soared to 145%, delivering a crippling blow to the entire industry.
