On April 15, the Shanghai Embodied Intelligence Venture Capital Partnership (Limited Partnership) successfully completed its business registration. This partnership, jointly spearheaded by Shanghai State-owned Capital Investment Co., Ltd. and the Pudong New Area, boasts a target fund size of RMB 1 billion, with an initial capital raising of RMB 560 million. Key cornerstone investors include the Shanghai State-owned Capital Master Fund, Pudong Venture Capital, and Zhangjiang Group. SDIC Fortune serves as the fund manager, while Pudong Venture Capital holds the position of executive partner.

Leveraging the Zhangjiang Robotics Valley as its base, the fund will focus on pivotal segments of the industrial chain, encompassing embodied intelligence ontology, core components, and the broader robotics sector. Its objective is to expedite technological research and development, foster industrial transformation, and propel Shanghai towards becoming an internationally renowned embodied intelligence industrial cluster.
