During an institutional research survey, Dongfang Electric Heating disclosed that its annual production capacity for pre-nickel plated steel shell materials for lithium batteries, initially projected at 20,000 tons, has surpassed expectations, actually reaching 50,000 to 60,000 tons. This enhanced capacity is poised to substantially meet market demand from 2025 to 2026. Projections indicate that by 2026, with the anticipated surge in demand for the 2170 series and potential breakthroughs in the 4680 series, market requirements may outstrip current production capabilities. In response, the company is contemplating the expansion of existing facilities to further bolster its production capacity.
