SIA Reports: Global Semiconductor Sales Surpass $600 Billion Mark for the First Time in 2024, Forecasting Double-Digit Growth This Year

In 2024, global semiconductor sales achieved a historic milestone, surpassing $627.6 billion, marking a robust 19.1% year-over-year growth. Regional performance was mixed, with the Americas witnessing a remarkable 44.8% surge, China recording an 18.3% increase, and the Asia-Pacific region (excluding China) experiencing a 12.5% uptick. Conversely, Japan and Europe observed slight declines of 0.4% and 8.1%, respectively. Despite a minor 1.2% month-on-month dip in sales during December, the fourth quarter still closed with a strong 17.1% year-over-year growth and a 3.0% month-on-month increase in total sales.
