Murata Manufacturing, a premier manufacturer of Multi-Layer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs), has announced that the rapid proliferation of AI applications is poised to propel a significant surge in demand for passive components. According to reports, AI servers are equipped with eight times the number of MLCCs compared to traditional servers. Nakajima Norihiro, the President of Murata Manufacturing, forecasts that the demand for MLCCs specifically related to AI servers will more than double in the upcoming year.
