GlobalFoundries, a prominent player in the U.S. wafer foundry industry, announced its executive restructuring plan on February 5. Effective April 28, Chief Operating Officer Tim Breen will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Thomas Caulfield, who will transition to the position of Chairman. Additionally, Niels Anderskouv, currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer, will be elevated to the dual role of President and Chief Operating Officer. This executive change plan will formally come into effect on April 28.
