The board of directors of leading wafer manufacturer GlobalFoundries (GF) has announced a pivotal series of executive appointments. Effective April 28, 2025, Dr. Thomas Caulfield will ascend to the position of Executive Chairman, Tim Breen will step into the role of Chief Executive Officer, and Niels Anderskouv will be elevated to President and Chief Operating Officer. This leadership reshuffle heralds a fresh chapter in GF's development journey and is anticipated to significantly propel its growth trajectory. Dr. Caulfield will succeed Ahmed Yahia, who has held the chairmanship for over a decade and will now step down from the board. Mr. Breen, who has been with GF since 2018 and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer, will now lead the company. Mr. Anderskouv, boasting over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and a former Senior Vice President at Texas Instruments, joins GF's executive team with a wealth of expertise.
