Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) intends to build a Giga-Fab facility in Salun, Tainan, Taiwan, utilizing the cutting-edge 1nm process technology. This ambitious project will comprise six 12-inch production lines, significantly bolstering the clustering effect of advanced process manufacturing within the Southern Taiwan Science Park. Moreover, it aims to foster connectivity with science parks in Chiayi, Kaohsiung, and Pingtung, positioning itself as a cornerstone investment in the "Great South New Silicon Valley Promotion Program."
